2024 Club Championship

Format:

Men’s Individual 72-Hole Stroke Play for Grades A, B, C & D.

Men’s Veterans (over 70) 54-Hole Stableford Play (played in conjunction with Men’s Individual 72-Hole Stroke Play)

The Men’s Individual 72-Stroke Play is to be played over two consecutive Saturday & Sunday rounds with the final round played on Sunday October 13th 2024. PM Field.

Women’s Club Championships will be contested over 54 Holes of Stroke Play for Grades A, B, C & D.

To be played over either Tuesday October 1st or Saturday October 5th, 12th, plus the Final Round Played Sunday October 13th.

Women’s Veterans (over 70) 54-Hole Stableford Play (played in conjunction with Women’s Individual 54-Hole Stroke Play)

Important Dates

  • Entries/Tee Sheets Opens: 7am Monday 23rd September for the Women’s first round and 7am Friday September 27th 2024 for the Men’s Saturday first round tee sheet.
  • Entries Close: Saturday October 5th 6am 2024
  • Round 1 – Saturday 5th October 2024 (Qualifying Round) All Grades
  • Round 2 – Sunday 6th October 2024 (Qualifying Round) All Grades
  • Round 3: Saturday 12th October 2024 (Qualifying Round) All Grades
  • Final Round 4: Sunday 13th October 2024 (Seeded Draw PM)

The Top four players in A, B, C & D Grades for the Gross competition will be seeded the final round PM.

Terms and Conditions of Entry:

Grades

Grades for the 2024 Club Tocumwal Club Championships will be divided based on Golf Australia WHS handicap system (GA Handicaps) at the beginning of the first round of the championship, with these handicaps remaining for all rounds of the club championships.

A Grade: +8 > 9.4

B Grade: 9.5 > 16.4

C Grade: 16.5 > 24.4

D Grade: 24.5 > 45.

Veterans Over 70 (held in conjunction)

A Grade: +8 > 14.4

B Grade: 14.5 > 24.4

C Grade: 24.5 > 35.4

D Grade: 35.5 > 54.

If in the view of the Golf Committee the integrity of the game, the rules of golf or the membership of Club Tocumwal could not be put in a compromising position the members entry will not be accepted.

Awards

Awards will be presented as follows:

Men’s

A Grade: Best Gross and Best Nett – Stroke

B Grade: Best Gross and Best Nett – Stroke

C Grade: Best Gross and Best Nett – Stroke

D Grade: Best Gross and Best Nett – Stroke

Women’s 

A Grade: Best Gross and Best Nett – Stroke

B Grade: Best Gross and Best Nett – Stroke

C Grade: Best Gross and Best Nett – Stroke

D Grade: Best Gross and Best Nett

Veterans:

Men (Over 70): Best Stableford Score over the first 54-holes of competition.

Women (Over 70): Best Stableford Score over first 54-holes of competition. 

 

Carts

The use of Golf Carts throughout the 2024 Club Tocumwal Club Championships is permitted without restriction.

 

Eligibility

  • Open to all Full Financial Members of Club Tocumwal
  • Not open to Introductory Golf Members as per membership category description
  • Not open to Club Tocumwal Country Members as per membership category description.
  • Must have been a Full Financial Member for no less than three (3) consecutive months at Club Tocumwal as of October 1st 2024.
  • Veterans must be 70 years of age or more as of October 1st, 2024.
  • Must hold full and unrestricted Golf Australia handicap by the date of the first round.
  • The Club Tocumwal Club Championships is an Amateur event.

Tee Times

All rounds of the 2024 Club Tocumwal Club Championship will be booked by the member playing for the first three (3) rounds using both the 1st and 10th tee for the golf course chosen on the day.

For the FINAL round the Top Four players in All Grades Men and Women for the Gross categories will be seeded and entered into the DRAW by the General Golf Committee after the third (3rd) round.

WOMEN’S

Round 1 – Tuesday October 1st OR Saturday October 5t, Qualifying Round

Round 2 – Tuesday October 8th OR Saturday October 12th, Qualifying Round

Final Round Sunday October 13th 2024, AM & PM Tee Times will be seeded in Championship Grades set by the tournament committee finalised after the third round for the Top Four players in All Grades Men and Women for the Gross Category.

MEN’S

Round 1 – Saturday October 5th 2024, Qualifying Round AM & PM

Round 2 – Sunday October 6th, 2024, Qualifying Round AM & PM

Round 3 – Saturday October 12th, Qualifying Round AM & PM

Final Round Sunday October 13th 2024, AM & PM Tee Times will be seeded in Championship Grades set by the tournament committee finalised after the third round for the Top Four players in All Grades Men and Women for the Gross Category.

Please Note – Players who qualify for the FINAL ROUND of the event are expected to be available and commit to play on these dates and times set by the Club Tocumwal Golf Committee.

If any player withdraws from their tee times it must be for extreme or unforeseen circumstances, otherwise the tournament committee may impose disciplinary sanctions.

Entry Fee

Entry Fee for the Club Tocumwal 2024 Club Championships is $30 per player. This entry fee includes entry into the championship proper, daily competition fees for Rounds 1 and 2 (normal daily competition prize payouts will apply, and the cost of the championship trophies.

Registration

All competitors are required to register in the ProShop upon arrival, for each day of play, and at least 20 minutes before their tee time.

Scorecard Return

The MiClub, MiScore app will be used for scoring this Club Tocumwal Club Championship Event.

If scorecards are used, they must be returned to the Clubhouse no later than 10 minutes after the completion of your round.

Disputes

The Golf Committee will act as the Championship Committee. Disputes must be lodged in writing to the Golf Committee or their represntative/s within 15 minutes of the completion of their round. The Golf Committee’s decision on any matter is final.

Ties

Any tie of Gross Scores for first place resulting after the completion of the 72 hole stroke play (or in the case of the Women’s, after 54 holes) will be decided by a sudden death playoff on the Captain’s 18th hole, until a winner is found. 

Ties in the NETT Events in A,B,C, and D Grades will be decided by countback.

Suspension of Play due to Adverse Weather Conditions

The Golf Committee reserve the right to re-schedule any round of the event due to an event of heavy rain, lightening, extreme heat or for any other reason, the Golf Committee will be responsible for deciding whether to suspend play.

The signal for suspending play will be three (3) blasts (repeated) of a siren.

If play is suspended during any round of the 2024 Club Tocumwal Club Championships, the maximum amount of time that play can be suspended is for 2 hours. If the course is not playable within this time, then play will be abandoned and rescheduled as determined by the Golf Committee.

The Golf Committee reserves the right to vary any conditions of the event due to unforeseen circumstances, including draw and starting times.
